Tina Tangalakis — Marketing & Communications Leadership in the Arts

Tina Tangalakis began her career as an entrepreneur, founding Della in 2009 as a fashion and social impact company rooted in job creation, skills training, and long-term economic responsibility.

Under her leadership, the brand grew into an internationally recognized business, becoming the first African-made product line carried by Apple, securing partnerships with Vans and Urban Outfitters, and earning recognition from UN Women and the U.S. State Department. At its peak, Della employed more than 90 people in Ghana.

The experience of building and scaling Della shaped Tina’s leadership philosophy today: disciplined creativity, data-informed strategy, and marketing as a core driver of organizational growth and sustainability.

Since 2017, Tina has focused her work on marketing and communications leadership within Los Angeles arts and cultural institutions. She currently serves as Director of Marketing & Communications at A Noise Within Theatre, where she leads brand strategy, audience development, and multi-platform campaigns across digital, print, broadcast, experiential, and social channels. Her work has driven double-digit year-over-year growth in attendance and revenue, organic social media growth of over 100% in one year, and high-profile media partnerships with Los Angeles Times, PBS, and LAist.

In parallel, Tina works as an art advisor and serves on the Board of the Culver City Arts Foundation, supporting equitable access to the arts and strengthening local creative ecosystems.

Across every chapter of her career, Tina’s focus has remained consistent: building sustainable brands, growing audiences with intention, and helping cultural institutions thrive.
